On Thursday, February 22nd, D.R.E.Am. Italia was present in Carlantino, in the province of Foggia, for the concluding event of the “P.A.B.L.O. – Environmental and Woodland Planning of Lake Occhito” project, funded by the 2014-2020 PSR of the Puglia Region.

Several institutional figures participated in this important public meeting, including Donato Pentassuglia, the Regional Councillor for Agriculture of the Puglia Region; the Municipal Administration of Carlantino, with Mayor Graziano Coscia; Legacoop Puglia and Legacoop Molise, represented respectively by Presidents Carmelo Rollo and Chiara Iosue; the Consortium for the Reclamation of Capitanata, with President Giuseppe De Filippo. The project presentation was entrusted to Ugo Fragassi, President of ATS Monte Maggiore, and Giovanni Santuopoli from the University of Molise. Our technicians, Marco Pierozzi and Marco Perrino, managed the operational interventions, illustrating the forest agreement.

The PABLO project aims to enhance not only the tourism potential of the Lake Occhito area – the second largest artificial reservoir in Europe in terms of capacity, covering 13 sq km – but also the surrounding forest and pine forests, thanks to the collaboration of the 9 municipalities overlooking the water body.
