D.R.E.AM Italia is taking part in the conference “The positive effects of forests, wood products and derivatives on human health: opportunities for innovative forestry supply chains”, scheduled for 8 May 2026 at the Mo.To.R.E. conference hall in Campotizzoro (San Marcello Pistoiese, PT).
In recent years, numerous scientific studies have highlighted the fundamental role of forests and forest products in improving people’s mental and physical well-being. The conference has been organised with the aim of presenting research findings, with a particular focus on the benefits associated with spending time in the forest, the use of wood in living environments and the application of its derivatives.
The day will also explore opportunities for the development of innovative forestry supply chains, geared towards the sustainable enhancement of the local area, local businesses and ecosystem services.
The programme features presentations by experts from academia, research and the forestry sector, with contributions on topics such as forest therapy, the certification of ecosystem services, the development of new agro-forestry products and economic opportunities for local businesses. The closing remarks will be delivered by Marcello Miozzo, President of D.R.E.AM. Italia.
The event is organised as part of the WELL.WOOD project (Research and Development Call 2024 – Action B), with the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia, and represents an important opportunity for dialogue between researchers, institutions and industry stakeholders.
