Fire Priority (CUP ST: 28280.05122024.087000109_2500) has as its main objective the design, development and implementation of an advanced decision support system based on artificial neural networks (AI) for the management of forest fires in the Tuscany region.

The idea behind the project is to exploit the extensive historical archive of fire, environmental and meteorological data already available at D.R.E.Am. Italia, integrating this information with real-time data and predictive models. The system should provide detailed analysis and operational advice to the Tuscany Region’s operations room, supporting decision-makers in identifying priorities for action, optimising the distribution of resources and improving overall response capacity in emergency situations.

Fire Priority will not replace human decision-makers, but will be a support tool providing clear and explainable hypotheses and analyses.
