D.R.E.Am. Italia participated in the 4th National Congress of the Wildlife Meat Supply Chain, which took place in April in Grugliasco, at the Department of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Turin.

In this context, the Wildlife Sector of D.R.E.Am. presented the virtuous example of the wild boar and mouflon containment project on the Island of Elba, within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, a rare example in Italy of containment carried out by professionals, with the entire catch sent to the meat supply chain.

The Congress, of which DREAm Italia was also an official sponsor, was also an opportunity to present the PigBrig trap, of which D.R.E.Am. is the official dealer and professional installer in Italy.

The trap, developed in the United States by wildlife biologists as part of projects to control the impact of suids on agricultural and human activities, has been used to capture a significant proportion of wild boars on the Tuscan island with much greater efficiency than traditional systems.

Pig Brig Trap Systems is an excellent ally of D.R.E.Am., which, in almost 50 years of activity and projects on the control of certain species of ungulates, promotes new virtuous practices and increasingly efficient new technologies.

Other capture techniques were also presented at the national conference, such as Up-Net and remote alarm systems, which make captures increasingly efficient and respectful of animal welfare.
