LIFE AFORCLIMATE
The project LIFE AForClimate (LIFE15 CCA/IT/000089) aims to provide concrete solutions to implement silviculture and forest planning effective in adapting to climate change. Its objective is to adapt the management of beech forests (Fagus sylvatica) to climate variability and its changes through efficient silviculture, planned on the basis of climate cycles.
In particular, AForClimate intends to improve the knowledge baseline useful for the development of adaptive actions through the creation of a forecasting model that includes climate change and its variability considered in high geographical detail, necessary for the realisation of schedules of interventions and sustainable silvicultural practices
